Possum fur buyers have been around for many years and the author can remember as a young person seeing the possum fur buyers coming into town with their beaten up old landrovers looking to trade the possum pelts and skins. Most Kiwis were exposed to possum trade at some stage of their life and i still have a possum fur tail given to me by a possum hunter when i was 6 years old.
